Greg Bozzo

With a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Greg has been a licensed landscape contractor since 1993. He has passion for trees, water conservation and enjoys roaming through nurseries to find unique plant palettes for his clients. As founder of GB Landscape Services, Inc., Greg has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from municipal, riparian restoration, commercial buildings and custom homes. In fact, over the past year, GB Landscapes built a 40-acre nursery in Gilroy to help a private client supply native trees for their own commercial building projects. GB Landscapes currently manages the facility with Greg handling operations, his wife Lora the administration and about 8 others maintaining the trees, property and equipment.  This past spring GB designed and installed a San Jose backyard that includes plants, trees, irrigation, pavers, lights and wood works.  Currently they are contracted in a design-build project on the outskirts of Gilroy that includes a putting green, sport court, horse-shoes and over 50,000 pounds of decoraitve boulders.

Greg and Lora have two adult daughters, Olivia and Gianna. He enjoys traveling, writing, mountain biking and riding dirt bikes. As a longtime community volunteer, Greg has served as the Gilroy Garlic Festival President in 2010, and has been in leadership roles in the Brownell Parent Club and Sister City Association.  He is a supporter of the National Kidney Registry.  He and his wife are involved with Rebekah Children's Services currently fostering a young boy.  He sits on the advisory board of Pinnacle bank, and has most recently helped implement a community garden where there are now 30 families growing their own crops.  Greg served on a Gilroy City Council appointed committee that reviewed and recommend use of federal dollars.

GB Landscapes supports local non-profits with their fundraising ambitions.  Some of those are The Gilroy Elks Lodge, Gilroy Assistance League (GALS) and Gilroy High School Future Farmers of America and Morgan Hill Charter School Ag Science department.  For the past three years, GB Landscapes has been involved with the non-profit organization GILROY RODEO by helping the organization secure trees and landscaping supplies with a wholesale value of over $150,000.

Greg hopes to use social media and the connections he has made in horticulture and agriculture over the past 30 years, to share some behind-the-scenes access to unique places and experiences, not normally available to the general public.  He especially looks forward to sharing all things good about South Santa Clara County and Gilroy!
